Sidharth-Malhotra-Indian-Police-Force-Series-ReviewWhat Is the Show About?

Serial bomb blasts happen in Delhi and later more. The police force, mainly Sidharth Malhotra, Vivek Oberoi, and Shilpa Shetty, launch the manhunt and eventually reach their target to nab the man behind the tragic events. This is what Indian Police Force Season 1 is all about.

Performances

Sidharth Malhotra gets to play a tough cop; he has good looks, but his actions are not in sync with the situations. It comes across like his focus is more on looking stylish in every single frame than being part of the frame or a situation. He looks fit on-screen, though.

Shilpa Shetty leaves no impact in the show; she offers hardly anything to remember her performance-wise. It’s a watch-and-forget in terms of what she delivered.

Vivek Oberoi too makes no big impact, but one feels that he should have been there for more time to at least keep that bromance feel going along with Sidharth.

Director-Rohit-ShettyAnalysis

Indian Police Force, a 7-episode TV series, is directed by Rohit Shetty in association with Sushwanth Prakash.

Rohit Shetty has taken on the challenge of telling an absolutely beaten-to-death story that should create freshness through performances, writing, and execution, but the director duo fails on all counts.

The show begins with serial blasts in Delhi, and Sidharth Malhotra makes every effort to look stylish, wearing his Ray-Ban to attend the bomb blast scene where hundreds of lives are lost. Such is how priorities are set, and the show continues the same.

The biggest problem with the show is that it gets progressively worse with each episode. Wooden-faced actors approach the sensitive plot in their most stylish manner, and its TV serial-like execution in many parts gives the feeling of watching a CID serial on a big scale.

By the time we reach the midway point, it feels like we really don’t need one more show on Islamic terrorism, with silly subplots other than a few manageable action sequences here and there.

The writing of the show feels unintentionally funny in a serious and sensitive story that’s running.

Overall, Indian Police Force is a done-to-death, unwanted piece of expensive show that has absolutely no uniqueness, and its TV serial-like presentation makes you yawn throughout.

Shilpa-Shetty-Indian-Police-Force-Series-ReviewPerformances by Others Actors

Indian Police Force has a number of supporting cast members, and they perform their roles, but due to the outdated way their characters were written and presented, no one makes a lasting impact. Whether it’s Mukesh Rishi, Nikitin Dheer, or other actors, they deliver mechanical performances. Vaidehi Parshurami as Nafeesa Khan looks beautiful, and she has a natural screen presence better than some so-called temporary big-screen crushes.

Music-Director-Lijo-GeorgeMusic and Other Departments?

The cinematography of the show looks outdated, and the visuals are not in line with current trends. The music is not impressive either. The seven-episode-long show feels extremely lengthy, so the less we talk about editing, the better.
