The Korean automaker, Hyundai has recently launched the Creta facelift in the Indian market. Featuring a significantly revised design and interior along with a turbo petrol engine, the new Hyundai Creta is available at a starting price of Rs 11 lakh. Interested buyers can book the new SUV online or at authorised dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 25,000.
The new Hyundai Creta Vs Rivals – Mileage
The new Creta facelift is available with 3 engine options – a 115PS, 1.5L NA petrol, a 116PS, 1.5L turbo diesel and a 160PS, 1.5L turbo petrol. The 1.5L NA petrol engine is offered with 6-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox options, while the turbo diesel version comes with 6-speed manual and torque convertor automatic options. The turbo petrol engine is only available with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

– The new Creta 1.5L manual and automatic versions are claimed to offer a certified fuel economy of 17.4kmpl and 17.7kmpl, respectively. The Seltos with the same powertrains offer 17kmpl and 17.7kmpl of fuel efficiency.
– The Honda Elevate is powered by a 121PS, 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine with 6MT and 7-step CVT. The manual version returns an ARAI certified mileage of 15.31kmpl, while the automatic variant is claimed to offer a mileage of 16.92kmpl.
– The Grand Vitara and the Hyryder petrol versions are the most fuel efficient models in the category. Both equipped with a 1.5L NA petrol engine with manual and automatic gearbox options. The manual version is claimed to return an ARAI certified fuel economy of 21.11kmpl, which drops to 19.38kmpl with AWD setup. The automatic version delivers a fuel economy of 20.58kmpl.
– The Taigun and the Kushaq with 1.0L turbo petrol engine returns 19.87kmpl and 18.15kmpl with manual and automatic gearbox options, respectively.

– The Hyundai Creta turbo petrol version is claimed to return an ARAI certified fuel economy of 18.4kmpl. It is not available with manual gearbox options. In fact, the Seltos turbo is available with both manual and DCT gearbox options offering 17.7kmpl and 17.9kmpl respectively.
– The Grand Vitara and the Hyryder are not offered with turbo petrol engines. However, both SUVs are available with hybrid powertrains and claims to return a certified fuel economy of 27.97kmpl.
– The Taigun & Kushaq turbo version offers 18.6kmpl and 19kmpl with manual and automatic gearbox options, respectively.
Diesel Mileage
Only the Creta and Seltos are offered with a diesel engine option. Both models are equipped with the same 1.5L turbo diesel engine that produces 116PS and 250Nm of torque. The new Creta is claimed to return 21.8kmpl and 19.1kmpl with manual and torque convertor automatic gearbox options, respectively. On the other hand, the Seltos diesel with same engine returns 20.7kmpl and 19.1kmpl with manual and automatic gearboxes respectively.
