Taapsee Pannu had loose talk about South films in the past, where she began her career and established herself as an actress. Her comments sparked outrage from the Telugu industry then.
Now, she’s back again—this time, making unnecessary comments about the recent film Animal. She stated, “People should not compare Animal to Hollywood and say, ‘If you liked Gone Girl, how can you not like Animal’?
You are catering to a different audience. In Hollywood, people don’t start copying actors’ hairstyles from movies or using a film’s line in real life. They also don’t start stalking women after seeing it in a movie. But all this happens in our country. This is our reality.”
“It is my opinion, and I am not one of those who will tell XYZ actors that they should not do these films. They have their own choice; we are in a free country and have freedom of choice. I wouldn’t do it (Animal) is what I am saying,” Pannu added.
But the biggest question is, did Sandeep Reddy Vanga even offer a role to her in Animal? Why this unnecessary talk about a blockbuster film being a part of the industry? Just because she is cast in different types of films now, is it right to mock other filmmakers?
It is ironic; the same Taapsee did all sorts of exposing roles at the beginning of her career in Telugu films, but now she is lecturing others.
