Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday visited Kamalapuram in Kadapa district as part of his 'Raa… Kadaliraa' campaign. The Kamalapuram assembly is considered significant for the TDP, and a large crowd gathered to hear speeches from Chandrababu Naidu and other leaders.
During his speech, Chandrababu Naidu challenged Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to answer the question, “Who killed Babai?” He posed the same question to the people, trying to elicit a response from the crowd.
It appears that Chandrababu Naidu is using the Viveka murder case as a political tool in his election campaign. Viveka’s murder became a significant issue during the 2019 elections, and YS Jagan took a gag order from the High Court to prevent Chandrababu Naidu from discussing the Viveka murder in the election campaign.
However, the situation seems to have reversed in 2024, with Chandrababu Naidu consistently raising the Viveka murder issue in meetings across Kadapa district to criticize YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. During his speech, Chandrababu Naidu mentioned YS Sunitha, Viveka’s sister, and praised her efforts for justice.
The question “Who Killed Babai?” received an enthusiastic response from the crowd, and Chandrababu Naidu continued to emphasize the Viveka murder case to draw attention during his election campaign. Do you vote for murderers? Will you vote for a party that protects murderers? This question makes those who come there think.
