Upcoming Mahindra BE.07 Electric SUV – What to Expect?

We got the first glimpse of the upcoming Mahindra electric SUVs in their concept avatars in August 2023. These forthcoming EVs, which preview the brand’s new design philosophy, have been categorized into two sub-brands – XUV.e (XUV.e8 and XUV.e9) and BE (BE.05, BE.07, and BE.09). Mahindra’s first production-ready INGLO EV skateboard platform-based SUV will roll out towards the end of this year, and it will be the XUV.e8 – the electric version of the XUV700. Following this, the XUV.e9 and BE.05, BE.07, and BE.09 are expected to arrive from October 2025.

Speaking about the Mahindra BE.07, the electric SUV is likely to stay close to its concept and be positioned above the forthcoming Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti Suzuki eVX. While its official launch details are yet to be announced, it is expected to hit the roads by April 2026. The electric SUV’s concept measured 4565mm in length, 1900mm in width, and 1660mm in height, making it as big as the Creta and XUV700. Its wheelbase stood at 2775mm.

Unlike the BE.05, which is a coupe-SUV, the Mahindra BE.07 will carry a conventional SUV design and have a less angular stance. The production version is likely to retain the C-shaped headlamps and taillamps, large wheel arches, and flush door handles from the concept. The concept’s interior was futuristic with a large screen covering the full length of the dashboard, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and a large panoramic sunroof. With its future EVs, Mahindra is likely to eliminate physical controls entirely and offer touch and haptic feedback.

Specifications of the upcoming Mahindra BE.07 electric SUV are yet to be revealed. However, Mahindra has already confirmed that its INGLO platform-based EVs will have a battery pack ranging between 60-80kWh, delivering a range around 435km – 450km (WLTP). The BE.07 is likely to come with both RWD and AWD drivetrain system options, offering power between 231bhp-286bhp and 340bhp-394bhp, respectively.
