YS Sharmila Reddy took charge as AP PCC President earlier today. Sharmila is entrusted the task of rejuventating Congress eating into the Vote-bank of YSR Congress and she is right on to the job immediately.
Sharmila was to target the Reddy and Christian voters of Jagan Mohan Reddy and she did not waste any time.
She mentioned how Jagan was silent about the attacks on Christians in Manipur and told how Jagan is cozing with BJP despite its communal behavior.
Sharmila also targeted her brother on Development issues like Special Status, Three Capitals, and taking loans mindlessly.
YSR Congress was expecting Sharmila to attack Jagan but the intensity of the attack took them by surprise. That is evident from the confused and unclear response by the YSR Congress Senior leaders like Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy and YV Subba Reddy.
YSR Congress supporters on social media were also shell-shocked and they are seen trying to invoke Brother-sister, YSR, and Cases sentiment but proved to be ineffective.
Sharmila’s maiden speech from AP Congress office also had criticism of Chandrababu Naidu but it was an all-out attack on Jagan Mohan Reddy. However, there is no mention of Janasena.
Sharmila will be touring Andhra Pradesh from 23rd and plans to have leaders join Congress from every district. YSR Congress leaders are the target every where and in days to come, Sharmila will be more critical of Jagan.
We may even see Sharmila say how Jagan cheated her in property issues and how he tried to save the culprits in YS Vivekananda Reddy’s case.
As Sharmila goes into details, Jagan will get more suffocated. Even if Sharmila is able to cut 1-3% Vote-bank of YSR Congress, the election will be more or less gone for Jagan Mohan Reddy.
