Chhapra Mayor Election Result Live The counting of votes for the post of Mayor of Chhapra Municipal Corporation started at 8:00 am in the counting center set up in the district school campus. Counting of votes has been completed. Lakshmi Narayan Gupta has won with an overwhelming majority.
Heavy security forces were deployed in the district school for counting of votes. During this time, a huge crowd of candidates and their supporters was seen outside the counting center amidst severe cold.
Magistrates, women and police personnel were deployed at the main gate of the counting centre. After searching the candidates and their agents, they were allowed to enter the counting centre. Senior officials of the district administration also reached the counting centre.
According to the first round election results which came at 9:00 am, Sunita Devi was leading with 1524 votes. Whereas, Rajesh Fashion got 111 votes and Lakshmi Narayan Gupta got 519 votes. Rafiq Iqbal got 653 votes. Apart from this, Ravi Roshan Guddu Yadav got 781 votes. Now the results have been declared.
24 tables have to be made for counting of votes.
A total of 24 tables have been set up for counting of votes. Personnel are deployed on each table. 14 rounds will be counted on all tables. For counting of votes, a webcam has been installed for OCR from the commission level. The entire process of counting is being videographed.
The candidate was allowed to enter the counting venue along with his agent. Apart from this no one was allowed to come inside.

A place has been earmarked for the agents of contesting candidates near the counting table from where they can easily observe the counting of votes. Section 144 has been imposed around the counting venue.
Results will be out by noon, ban on procession
The result of counting of votes for the post of Mayor will be out by noon. After the declaration of election results
There is a ban on taking out any kind of procession. The administration will deal strictly with those who disturb peace and create law and order problems. Counting of votes started at 8 in the morning.

Since the counting of votes is being done through electronic voting machines, it does not take much time. It is noteworthy that 17 candidates are trying their luck for the post of Mayor of Chhapra Municipal Corporation. Voting was held on January 22 at 196 polling stations in 45 wards amid tight security arrangements.
