On the occasion of Republic Day, in the main function organized at Vikas Nagar Stadium of district headquarters Kondagaon, local MLA Lata Usendi will hoist the flag and take the salute of the parade. The final rehearsal of preparations for organizing Republic Day celebrations was done on Wednesday 24 January. During this, Collector Kunal Dudawat and Superintendent of Police Y Akshay Kumar took stock of the preparations and gave instructions to the concerned officers to ensure all necessary arrangements and preparations well in advance. District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Prem Prakash Sharma played the role of chief guest in the last rehearsal of the Republic Day celebrations. During this, he hoisted the flag and took the salute of the parade.

In the Republic Day celebrations, under the leadership of Parade Commander Deputy Superintendent of Police Ritesh Kumar and Second Commander Sub Inspector Akhilesh Kumar Dhiwar, 29th and 41st battalions of Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, male and female contingents of Bastar Fighter, Nagar Sena personnel, NCC Junior Division The contingents of Boys and Girls Groups, Boys and Girls Groups of National Service Scheme, Scout Groups and Guide Groups conducted the final practice of march past. Along with this, exercises and cultural programs were also practiced by school children in the programme. On this occasion, the officials observed the cultural presentation of school children and gave guidance regarding preparing it in a better and elegant manner. District level officers were present on this occasion.
