Manohar Lal Yadav told that he was in Jaffna for about 18 months in the Indian Peace Keeping Force during the civil war in Sri Lanka. Once the company was on patrol, the LTT men started the attack. 15 of our people were sacrificed in that. Fellow hero Rajendra Prasad and I started attacking using the dead bodies of our comrades as a shield. Rajendra stood up and attacked continuously with LMG. During this time he also got hit by several bullets, but we killed all of them and saved our lives.
