Hyundai Motor India’s top-selling model, the Creta SUV, has recently undergone a significant update in the country. The facelifted model lineup comes in 19 variants spread across E, EX, S, S (O), SX, and SX (O) trims. The petrol variants are priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20 lakh, while prices of the diesel variants start from Rs 12.45 lakh, reaching up to Rs 20 lakh. The new Hyundai Creta facelift has garnered substantial attention, accumulating over 25,000 orders, leading to a surge in waiting periods due to the increasing demand.

As of now, the waiting period for the new Creta petrol variants is approximately 3-4 months, while the diesel variants are expected to be delivered within 4-5 months. It’s important to note that waiting periods may vary depending on the variant, color, and city.

New Hyundai Creta Vs Kia Seltos

The new Hyundai Creta facelift offers three powertrain options: a new 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol, a 115bhp, 1.5L petrol, and a 116bhp, 1.5L diesel. The turbo-petrol motor is exclusively paired with the DCT automatic gearbox, while the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol unit can be chosen with either a manual or a CVT gearbox. The diesel variants are available with both manual and automatic transmissions.

While the facelifted Hyundai Creta enjoys success in terms of sales, Hyundai is gearing up to expand the SUV model lineup with the introduction of the N Line variant. Expected to arrive by mid-2024, the Hyundai Creta N Line aims to compete with the Kia Seltos GTX+ and X Line. The sportier version will be equipped with the turbo petrol and DCT engine-gearbox combination, featuring N Line specific elements both inside and outside, setting it apart from the regular Creta.

Furthermore, Hyundai is actively working on an electric iteration of the Hyundai Creta, slated to go on sale in early 2025. Once launched, it will be positioned to rival Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming eVX and Tata’s Curvv EV.
