Citroen India has expanded the C3 Aircross SUV model lineup by introducing new automatic variants – Plus and Max. The Plus variant is priced at Rs 12.85 lakh, while the Max variant costs Rs 13.50 lakh for the 5-seater and Rs 13.85 lakh for the 7-seater version. All mentioned prices are introductory, ex-showroom India. Bookings for these new automatic variants are currently underway, requiring an initial payment of Rs 25,000. The manual variants of the Citroen C3 Aircross are presently available within the price range of Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 12.75 lakh.

The Citroen C3 Aircross automatic variants are equipped with the same 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, coupled with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The engine produces a claimed power of 109bhp and 205Nm of torque, with power being delivered to the front wheels via the new automatic gearbox.

There are no alterations to the design and interior of the C3 Aircross with the introduction of these automatic variants. Similar to the manual Plus trim, the automatic version offers features such as a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, 4 speakers, steering-mounted controls, connected car tech, front and rear USB chargers, rear roof vents (7-seater), third-row removable seats (7-seater), second-row backrest with adjustable recline in 3 angles (7-seater), second-row 60:40 one-touch tumble (7-seater), rear defogger, front and rear skid plates, adjustable headrests, and LED DRLs.
The Max trims come with some exclusive fitments, including front fog lamps, shark fin antenna, rearview camera, rear wiper with washer, leather-wrapped steering wheel, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and 4 speakers with two tweeters.
In other updates, Citroen India has announced two new models for 2024 – the C3X crossover sedan and C3 Aircross EV. Both models will be built on the heavily localized CMP (Common Modular Platform) architecture. The C3X sedan is likely to feature the 1.2L turbo petrol engine with 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options. The Citroen eC3 Aircross is expected to incorporate a 50kWh battery pack and an electric motor, providing a range of over 400km.
