Skoda is set to introduce its first electric offering in India with the Enyaq iV, and the model is set to make its public debut at the Bhart Mobility Expo 2024. The event is scheduled to take place at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 1st to 3rd February 2024. The market launch of this electric SUV is anticipated to occur within a month or two of its official unveiling. In the Indian market, the Skoda Enyaq iV is expected to be available in a single, top-spec 80X variant, featuring a 77kWh battery pack and dual motors positioned on each axle.
Looking at its performance metrics, the Enyaq iV is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 6.9 seconds, offering a WLTP-rated range of up to 513km on a single charge. The combined power output of the model stands at 265bhp, and the SUV’s battery pack can be charged using a 125kW DC fast charger. Notably, the forthcoming Skoda electric SUV will incorporate an AWD (all-wheel drive) system and has a drag coefficient of 0.27.
Designed on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB-born electric architecture, which also underpins the Volkswagen iD4 and Audi Q4 e-tron, the Skoda Enyaq iV platform supports both single motor, RWD, and dual motor AWD setups. The electric SUV’s dimensions measure 4648mm in length, 1879mm in width, and 1616mm in height, respectively. It sits on a 2765mm long wheelbase. Skoda emphasizes the Enyaq iV’s interior, incorporating sustainably processed and recycled materials. At the center stage is a 13-inch touchscreen supporting an e-SIM for connected functions, gesture control, and voice assistance. The interior also features a 5.3-inch digital instrument display with four different layouts. Key elements include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, ambient lighting, upholstery with a mix of leather and microfibre fabric, 19-inch Proteus alloy wheels, LED headlamps and taillamps, and an optional LED backlit grille with a coming/leaving home animation.
