Famous director duo Raj & DK’s Farzi, starring Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, and Raashii Khanna in the lead roles, which was released in February 2023, earned solid critical acclaim. The series garnered a whopping traction on Amazon Prime Video. At the end of season 1, the makers provided a cliffhanger for the next season, and since then, movie buffs have been eagerly waiting for the second installment.
In an interactive session with fans, Raashii Khanna dropped a big update about the second season. She said, “I had a word with Raj sir, who is our director. He told me that the shooting for Farzi 2 will begin by the start of next year. So probably, Farzi 2 might arrive by the end of 2025.”
The series is about an artist who starts making counterfeit money to save his grand father’s press. This makes him land in a huge mess. Farzi marked the OTT debut of Shahid Kapoor. Kay Kay Menon, Bhuvan Arora, Zakir Hussain, Chittaranjan Giri, Amol Palekar, Regina Cassandra, and Kavya Thapar played crucial roles in this crime comedy thriller series.
