TDP’s candidate selection process for the upcoming assembly elections in the joint Kadapa district. The TDP has reportedly finalized candidates for six out of ten assembly seats, with the finalization process ongoing for the remaining four seats.
Key candidates mentioned include:
BTech Ravi (Mareddy Rabindranath Reddy) for Pulivendula, represented by CM Jagan.
Madhavi for Kadapa
Putta Narasimha Reddy or his son Chaitanya Reddy for Kamalapuram.
Putta Sudhakar Yadav for Maidukuru.
Chadipiralla Bhupesh Reddy for Jammalamadugu.
Rosanna for Badvelu (SC).
Candidates are yet to be finalized for Poddutur within the Kadapa parliamentary constituency.
For the three assembly seats under the Rajampet Lok Sabha constituency, candidates are yet to be finalized, and the race includes notable names such as Ramesh Kumar Reddy, Ramprasad Reddy, and Dwarakanatha Reddy.
The TDP is planning to field a woman candidate for Railway Kodur (SC), and there are discussions about considering it for alliance partner Jana Sena. The name of Bala Subramaniam, son of former MLA Palakondarayu, has been finalized for two Lok Sabha seats in the joint district.
However, the candidate for the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat is yet to be decided, with names like Srinivasula Reddy, Ritish Reddy (former MLA Vijayamma’s son), and former minister DL Ravindra Reddy being mentioned. Jana Sena will sure to get one segment either Railway Kodur or Rajampet as part of the alliance in the district.
