Jagan’s Last Delhi Trip A Disappointment!

Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy’s visit to Delhi and his meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman seem to have been characterized by a lack of extensive discussions on political matters. Despite a prolonged wait and a relatively short meeting with the Prime Minister, Jaganmohan Reddy reportedly had limited opportunities to delve into political issues.

The Chief Minister sought the support of Prime Minister Modi, emphasizing the importance of political backing in the upcoming elections. However, it is noted that Modi did not provide much time for political discussions and focused on state-related queries during the brief encounter.

Jaganmohan Reddy also attempted to secure a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, but reports suggest that the meeting did not materialize, possibly due to a lack of green signal from the Prime Minister. The political landscape is tense, with Jaganmohan Reddy expressing concerns about his political future, especially in the face of emerging challenges from the TDP-Janasena alliance.

YSRCP MPs Vijayasai Reddy, Midhun Reddy, Avinash Reddy and others were with him, but other YSRCP MPs did not show interest in talking to him. Some of the MPs showed their faces and went away.
Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy ignored Jagan’s visit. It is reported that Vemireddy left for Dubai in the morning.

During his visit, Jaganmohan Reddy, along with YSRCP MPs, addressed various state-related issues, including funds for the Polavaram project, pending electricity dues from Telangana, medical college connectivity, and infrastructure projects.

The Chief Minister’s disappointment and unease were noticeable, reflecting the complex political dynamics at play. The issue of special status for Andhra Pradesh was also presented as a proposal during these discussions.
