Manikandan – Gauripriya's Tamil movie 'Lover' directed by Prabhuram Vyas, Maruti and SKN released today in Telugu under the title 'True Lover'. And, let's go to the review and find out how much this film pleased the audience!
Story:
Arun (Manikandan) and Divya (Gauri Priya) are in love since their college days. Six years pass like that. Divya works in a software company. But, Arun takes 15 lakhs at home and tries to set up a coffee shop, while on the other hand he spends time drinking. After some dramatic events that took place in this sequence.. What kind of quarrels happened between these two?, How did they get close while being distant?, Why does Arun not like that Divya is a bit close with her fellow employees?, Did they finally meet?, Did they break up? Has Arun's dream of opening a cafe come true? or ? That is the rest of the story.
Plus Points:
How do lovers fight with misconceptions and misunderstandings over small things? What kind of drama is going on between them? What are the real love stories of this generation? In that sense, some scenes written by director Prabhuram Vyas are good. The director has shown very well in this movie how good it is if there is genuine emotion between lovers.
Again, he has well established the fights, the tears and the adoration between the characters. All in all, the real situations in this 'True Lover' movie.. and the emotions of the average guys are good. When it comes to acting… Manikandan who played the hero acted well with his comedic timing and his emotional acting.
Manikandan conveys the core emotion of the movie very well with his gestures. Also the heroine Shri Gauri Priya also acted very well. And Kanna Ravi along with the rest of the lead actors also did full justice to their roles.
Minus Points:
Although the plot taken by director Prabhuram Vyas is good, the story is simple at some places. Especially in the second half, at some places the screenplay goes very slowly with an uninteresting treatment. Some of the love scenes between the heroines are also very regular. In addition to this, director Prabhuram Vyas added unnecessary repeated scenes keeping in mind the relationship between the lovers.
Moreover, there are too many love and family scenes which cannot add strength to the story. Also, some over drama scenes are also weakness of the movie. On the whole, director Prabhuram Vyas elevated the content he wanted on the screen, but it would have been a plus for the movie if some routine scenes had been trimmed.
Technical Department:
Talking about technicians.. Prabhuram Vyas impressed with good plot as director. Also, although some key scenes written by him were good, he failed to impress in full. Music director Sean Roldan has given good songs. Similarly the background score is also good in some key scenes. If the editor had trimmed the unnecessary scenes more tightly, it would have been a plus for the film. Cinematography by Shreyas Krishna is good. Finally, the production values followed by the producers 'Najerat Pasilian, Magesh Raj Pasilian, Yuvraj Ganesan' are good.
Verdict:
In this love drama called 'True Lover', the misunderstandings, misunderstandings, quarrels and sufferings between the lovers have been well established. Along with some emotional scenes, some comedy scenes are also impressive. However, things like regular love scenes and uninteresting screenplay are the minuses of the movie. Overall, some elements of this movie connect to the youth.
