Disaster Queen Gets Mild Relief

Kriti Sanon has faced a series of setbacks with films like Bachchan Paandey, Shehzada, Bhediya, Adipurush, and Ganapath, earning her the unfortunate titles of ‘Disaster Queen’ and ‘Female Akshay Kumar.’

However, her latest release, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, offers a glimmer of hope amidst the storm.

Starring alongside Shahid Kapoor, the film initially saw a slow start, raking in 7 crores on its opening day. However, it quickly gained momentum, witnessing a significant jump in earnings on Saturday, with 10 crores, followed by a respectable 11-12 crores on Sunday.

While a 29-crore weekend might not be groundbreaking, it’s certainly commendable in the current post-pandemic landscape, where only major productions have predominantly succeeded.

For Shahid Kapoor as well, whose previous outing, Jersey, struggled with an embarrassing lifetime collection of 15 crores, this film’s performance brings a slight sense of relief and satisfaction.

Even in the US market, the film is anticipated to fetch around $800-850K during its opening weekend, a promising figure, especially for a Shahid Kapoor movie.

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, a light-hearted romantic comedy, is garnering positive attention for its decent performance at the box office. The movie’s music and comedy have resonated with audiences, while Kriti’s portrayal and Shahid’s dance sequences are receiving praise, adding to the film’s overall appeal and success.
