Following the success of DJ Tillu, the makers announced its sequel, Tillu Square. While many expected Neha to reprise her role, the makers chose Anupama Parameswaran as the female lead instead. Neha remained silent on her exclusion from the franchise.
When the trailer for Tillu Square dropped yesterday, there was speculation that Anupama might not fit the character of Radhika. Within a couple of hours after the trailer’s release, Neha shared some glamorous photos from her latest photoshoot, perhaps anticipating discussions and comparisons between her and Anupama.
However, public opinion on Anupama’s role was neutral; neither highly criticized nor praised. Yet, the kissing scene in the trailer, given her family image, garnered significant attention.
There was no comparison made by the people between Neha and Anupama. Thus, Neha’s plan of grabbing people’s attention and creating a discussion did not work as expected.
