Varun Tej has the habit of trying out new kinds of films and he is back at it with Operation Valentine. The trailer for the film dropped a little while back and it gives a peek into the intense historic Indian Air Force-based actioner.
The film is supposedly based on the 2019 Balakot air strike and Varun is seen as a fearless pilot, Rudra. He has the demeanor for such roles and that adds to the novelty factor.
The first impression is that the film has been shot on a lavish scale. The aircraft shown, the CGI part, and the visual presentation look authentic which is essential for a film of this genre.
The trailer is loaded with commercial moments and patriotic dialogues. There is the love track with the female lead, played by Manushi Chhillar that is also shown in the trailer.
By the looks of it, Operation Valentine is a lavishly shot Air Force actioner based on real incidents. It will ultimately depend on the emotional core that needs to connect with the Telugu audience. If this box is ticked, then there is potential here.
The film is directed by Shakti Pratap and it is set for release on the 1st of March. Varun is actively promoting the film and he seems hopeful of the same.
