One of the latest films to hit the theaters this week is talented actor Viva Harsha's debut film “Sundaram Master” in the lead role. Let's see the review of this film produced by Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja under Decent Promotions.
Story:
Sundar Rao (Harsha Chemudu) goes on a secret mission to a small village called Miryalametta to teach English subject. And how did he set himself up with the people in that village? What was the mission he went on? Whether he achieves it or what happens in the end is a must watch movie.
Plus Points:
Young actor Harsha knows what kind of actor he is. But he appeared in this film in a full length role. And Anik should say that he showed more maturity in his performance in this first movie. Also, many of the comedy scenes seen on him are hilarious. Among them, it is his acting but his timing that impresses.
Also, some of the comedy scenes with the villagers look very neat with their innocence and emotions. Also some scenes in the second half are good. Along with these, Balakrishna Neelakanthapu and other main cast tried to give natural performance to the extent of their role.
Minus Points:
The story in this film is very simple but the attempt to make this story interesting is missing in this film, it would have been better if it had aroused more interest in the second half. Also, many expect a beautiful treat with more comedy and emotions in a rural back drop. But they must be disappointed with this movie.
Also, the comedy narration seen in the first half gets dull in the second half. It seems that the balance is missing. Also, even though there are actors like Divya Sripada and Harsha Vardhan, some of the scenes on them are not that effective. Also the slow narration tests a bit of patience.
Finally, if we talk about the climax portion, the sequence between Harsha Chemudu and Harsha Vardhan does not feel so convincing. This is a bit disappointing.
Technical category:
The production values are good in this film. All the village setup looks natural. Also the music, cinematography and art work all look natural. Also the editing is fine.
And when it comes to director Kalyan Santhosh, even though he chose a simple line, he should have tried to make it more engaging. It would have been better if the hilarious narration, which was mainly continued in the first half, was maintained in the second half as well. Also the climax episode should be designed better.
Verdict:
Overall, though these “Sundaram Master” classes are a bit of a comedy, they are not in the range of full enjoyment. Slow narration and slightly boring screenplay deviates the result. Also good emotions are missing. But with these, the film does not fully impress.
