Major Political Parties in Telangana are busy finalizing the candidates for the upcoming Parliament elections. The Political Debut of Tollywood Star Producer Dil Raju is in news for a long time. We have reliably learned that Dil Raju has got two offers from two parties.
BJP is offering Zaheerabad while Congress is offering him Nizamabad.
If he okays Congress, Dil Raju will have to take on the sitting MP from BJP, Dharmapuri Arvind. KCR’s daughter, Kalvakuntla Kavitha was the candidate of the BRS in 2014 and 2019 elections but there are rumors that she may not contest this time.
Dil Raju is a native of Nizamabad. Time and again we see the rich and influential deserting their natives when they become big. But Dil Raju never forgets his roots and is always in touch with people of his native.
He built a big temple there and is also doing several social service work including encouraging farmers towards organic farming.
Dil Raju’s nephew, Ashish got married recently. The wedding reception was held in N-Convention, Hyderabad. Along with the who-is-who of the Telugu film industry, politicians, and the elite of Hyderabad, Dil Raju also made it to invite all his near and dear from Nizamabad and treated them very well. That is the connection he has with the place.
So, Nizamabad is always the first pick of Dil Raju. He can be a big bet here given his popularity and Congress’ Swing right now.
But then in recent Assembly elections, BRS won three, Congress two, and BJP two in the Assembly constituencies coming under Nizamabad Parliament.
On the other hand, the BJP has offered Zaheerabad to Dil Raju.
Dil Raju has good contacts in Zaheerabad as well. One of the seven Assembly constituencies that come under Zaheerabad is Kamareddy where BJP’s K. V. Ramana Reddy emerged as the Giantkiller defeating former Chief Minister KCR and current CM Revanth Reddy.
In the recent elections, BJP won only this seat while Congress won four and BRS won two under this Lok Sabha segment.
Dil Raju has good contacts with the BRS high command as well. But then, Congress and BJP are Number One and Number Two parties in this election. So, Dil Raju is likely to pick either of the two offers if he decides to make his political debut.
Irrespective of the party and the seat, Dil Raju has a good chance to win given the popularity he has in the people.
Sources close to Dil Raju tell us that the senior producer is currently busy with the after-wedding celebrations of his nephew, Ashish, and is likely to take a decision later this week.
