Pawan Kalyan’s juggling act between movies and politics proved to be a challenge, with repercussions felt by both his film projects and his political commitments. His tendency to prioritize one over the other has created a dilemma for his producers and directors.
In light of the upcoming assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, Pawan has taken a prolonged hiatus from his film endeavors, leaving three of his anticipated projects— “Hari Hara Veera Mallu,” “Ustaad Bhagat Singh,” and “OG”—in limbo.
Originally slated for completion in 2023, these films have now been indefinitely postponed due to his absence from the sets.
With no clear indication of when Pawan will resume work on these projects, the directors have been left with no choice but to explore new avenues.
Krishh, who had patiently awaited Pawan’s return for “Hari Hara Veera Mallu,” has opted to move forward with a new venture alongside Anushka. He wasted many years of his career waiting for Pawan.
Similarly, Harish Shankar and Sujeeth, directors of “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” and “OG” respectively, have also decided to embark on new projects, signaling their departure from the stalled productions.
Harish Shankar has started shooting M. Bachchan with Ravi Teja and Sujeeth is gearing up for a film with Nani.
