In the next 30 days, a total of 3 new cars will be launched in the Indian market. While Hyundai will introduce the performance-oriented Creta N Line, Build Your Dreams (BYD) will introduce its flagship electric sedan Seal. Moreover, Mahindra is likely to present the heavily revised version of the XUV300 compact SUV.
Hyundai Creta N Line
Hyundai has officially announced that the Creta N Line sportier SUV will be launched in the country on 11th March 2024. The SUV will receive N Line-specific changes to both inside and outside along with some mechanical changes. To be offered on the top-spec N8 and N10 trims, the Hyundai Creta N Line will be powered by a 160PS, 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT automatic. The performance-oriented Creta is likely to cost somewhere around Rs 20 lakh.
BYD Seal Electric Sedan
The long-awaited BYD Seal electric sedan will be launched in the Indian market on March 5, 2024. Interested buyers can book the new Seal EV online or at authorised dealerships. It will be offered in 3 variants – Dynamic Range, Premium Range and Performance. The electric sedan will be available with two battery pack options – a 61.4kWh and 82.5kWh – with the latter offering in both single and dual-motor options. The entry-level variant is claimed to offer a range of up to 460km in a single charge, while the 82.5kW variant with RWD setup delivers 570km of range. The Performance variant will come with dual-motor setup, which offers a range of up to 520km in a single charge.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift
It is expected that the significantly revised version of the Mahindra XUV300 will be launched before the end of March 2024. The XUV300 facelift will receive significant design changes and an all-new feature-loaded interior. The styling of the new model will be inspired from the Mahindra’s BE range of SUVs that will be introduced sometime in 2025. It is likely to share several components and features with the XUV400 EV. The SUV will have a revised dashboard layout with twin 10.25-inch screens – one for a touchscreen infotainment and other for the digital instrument console. The Mahindra XUV300 facelift will retain the existing engine options – a 1.5-litre diesel, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol and a 1.2-litre direct injection turbo petrol (TGDI). The most powerful 131bhp, 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine will also come with an Aisin-sourced 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. Other transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and an AMT.
