In two instances, the YSRCP has made three changes in their series of releases. The party faced difficulty in deciding the candidates for the Mangalagiri MLA and Nellore MP positions, announcing a third candidate in each of these segments.
This suggests the challenge of facing TDP candidates in Mangalairi and Nellore for the YSRCP. The ruling YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh has released its 9th list. The YSRCP high command announced the name of Lavanya to replace Ganji Chiranjeevi. Lavanya is the daughter-in-law of former MLA Kandru Kamal.
YSRCP leaders made this decision after discussions with sitting MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, Ganji Chiranjeevi, Kandru Kamala, and MLC Murugudu Hanumantha Rao. YSRCP has chosen Lavanya as their candidate in the upcoming election, reiterating their determination to secure victory in Mangalagiri against Lokesh.
For the Nellore MP candidate, YSRCP announced the name of Vijayasai Reddy. Political sources speculate that the YSRCP candidates or the party itself are facing uncertainty. Analysts suggest that the party has chosen Vijayasai Reddy as the MP candidate after failing to find a strong alternative in Nellore.
Three weeks ago, Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy was the MP nominee for YSRCP from Nellore. Following some developments within the YSRCP, Vemireddy resigned from YSRCP and is set to join TDP this week. Subsequently, Sarath Chandra Reddy, a relative of Vijaysai Reddy, was announced as the Nellore MP candidate.
The reasons behind these changes remain unclear, and now Vijaysai’s name has emerged as the MP candidate. This marks Vijaysai Reddy’s first direct election, as he was previously elected twice to Parliament indirectly through Rajya Sabha.
