Tata Motors has been dominating the electric vehicle (EV) segment ever since the launch of the Nexon EV. The indigenous automaker achieved total EV sales of nearly 75,000 units in fiscal year 2024, marking a 56 percent year-on-year growth. With a further aim to increase its market share, the company has planned a range of new EVs across different price ranges. Here’s a brief overview of the upcoming Tata electric cars:

Tata Curvv EV

The production-ready version of the Tata Curvv EV is scheduled to go on sale in mid-2024. It will be an SUV coupe measuring 4308mm in length, 1810mm in width, and 1630mm in height. The final version retains the essence of the concept and showcases Tata’s latest design language. The Curvv EV will be Tata’s second model to utilize the new Acti.ev platform, offering compatibility with various body styles, battery packs, drivetrains, and charging capabilities. Specifications of the electric SUV are yet to be revealed, though it’s expected to deliver a range of 500km on a single charge. Features may include ADAS tech, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a new twin-spoke steering wheel, a redesigned central tunnel with rotary dials, and a 360-degree camera.

Tata Harrier/Safari EVs

The Tata Harrier EV is set to launch by Diwali 2024. Recently showcased in its near-production avatar at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in Delhi, the Harrier EV will feature a new blanked-off grille, a revised front bumper with angular creases, split headlamps with blackened housing, and a redesigned central air intake. Equipped with the Acti.ev platform, it may include dual motor and AWD setup, supporting both V2L (vehicle-to-load) and V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) charging capabilities.

Tata Altroz ​​EV

Confirmed for showroom arrival in 2025, the Tata Altroz ​​EV will feature a closed-off grille, air dam with star patterns, and a tweaked bumper. Inside, the electric hatchback will offer a lighter shade upholstery with features such as a Harman-powered floating touchscreen infotainment system, rear AC vents, ambient lighting, leather-wrapped steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, cruise control, ABS with EBD, airbags, and a rear camera display. The Altroz EV will come with Tata’s Ziptron technology, offering a range between 250km – 300km.

Scheduled for launch in 2025, the Tata Sierra EV is highly anticipated. Leaked patent images showcase a closed-off grille, a massive bumper with integrated LED headlamps, squared wheel arches, and thick body cladding. Inside, it is expected to feature a twin-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, and a larger free-standing touchscreen infotainment. Key highlights may include ambient mood lighting, digital driver’s display, electric sunroof, ADAS, and individual screens for rear occupants in the lounge variant. The Sierra EV could feature a 60kWh battery pack offering a range of around 500km on a single charge, along with a dual-motor setup and AWD system.
