The latest action thrilling entertainer movie Bhima directed by Kannada director A Harsha with Gopichand as the hero has come in front of the audience today with good expectations. And let's see how this movie is in full review.
Story:
Bhima (Gopichand) is a police officer who catches criminals in his own style. But he becomes a big problem for Bhavani (Mukesh Tiwari) who is ruling Mahendragiri. Bhima falls in love at first sight with Vidya who works as a school teacher at one time. But Ravindra Verma (Nazar), who saves many with his medicine, has immense respect for Vidya. Later Ravindra Varma asks Bhima to do a job. That leads to many situations, and why did Ravindra Varma ask for Bhima. What happened between Bhavani and Bhima, what problems did Bhima face with the work assigned by Ravindra Varma and what happened in the end is to be seen in the entire movie.
Plus Points:
Bhima is one of the good mass action roles of Gopichand in recent times. Director Harsha has written it well. Similarly, hero Gopichand also performed brilliantly in that role. And Gopichand entertained the audience by showing another aspect of his character in a super way. The movie starts with a voice over telling about Parashuram's kshetra. The first 15 minutes are very interesting and create a good interest in the story ahead. The interval episode however is very good and creates more interest in the second half. Heroine Malvika's performance is good. Especially in the pre-climax episodes her scenes are better. Naresh, Mukesh Tiwari, Raghubabu and Chammak Chandra acted decently in their roles. And the last half hour of the movie will be very good. Emotions, powerful dialogues, crucial twist and heroism elevation scenes are well done and due to these the scenes flourish. Some comedy moments involving Vennela Kishore and Rohini were good. The action sequences are brilliantly shot. The impactful background score by Ravi Basrur takes the high voltage scenes to another level.
Minus Points:
After a good introduction scene, the story progresses slowly. Along with the love track that follows, there are some vulgar scenes written for the mass audience, but some sections of the audience will find it difficult. The entire first half was also led on Bhima's role, but the presence of the love track in it is not very interesting. But not showing the main point of the story until the interval block is also a draw back. After that, they wrote to wait for the second half. Especially some dialogues and romantic scenes do not connect with all sections of audience. Followed by excessive use of back-and-forth style screenplay, the audience finds it somewhat difficult to understand and confusion ensues.
Technical category:
Like many recent movies, Bhima also follows the story with good action scenes and visuals. Cinematography by Swami J Gowda is excellent, especially the night scenes. Along with the production values, music director Ravi Basrur's music and background score are well done. The action scenes required for a good mass film are well set in Bima. Director A Harsha has shot it well by adding a good fantasy element in the action story. The mass scenes as well as the climax portions are very good. Gopichand's acting is super. But the love track scenes disappoint. Also, some screenplay also feels confusing to the audience.
Verdict:
Overall Gopichand's latest movie Bhima is a watchable action mass drama movie. Gopichand's screen presence, acting and fantasy element. Mass elements, last half hour, interval sequence and rich visuals are the main highlights of Bhima. But the love track which seems a bit vulgar and some dialogues limits the movie to some. There is more scope to highlight the core point. Although there is a possibility of elevating it further, the director has not provided complete satisfaction in terms of insurance. Although the first half was not so good, the director managed the second half well with the pre-climax and climax episodes. If you love mass action movies with these then you can watch Bhima this weekend.
