Recently, the latest movie “Gami” which was released in the theaters this week has created a lot of interest among the Tollywood audience. Story:
If we come to the story… Aghora Shankar (Vishwak Sen) who cannot tolerate human touch will not exist in this world due to this defect. But in this process, he learns that Taraka Malipatras, which cures his deficiency, will be in Dhruvanagiri region only once in every 36 years. Dr. Jahnavi (Chandini Chaudhary) accompanies him on his journey there. But on the other hand Shankar is haunted by some visuals. Abhinaya (Durga) seen in this, as well as Subject City – 333 (Mohammed Shamad) in a lab on the India China border, why do they appear to him? Has he reached his destination or not? What is Shankar's real past? They need to know if he has anything to do with it, so this movie has to be seen on the silver screen.
Plus Points:
Definitely another solid effort from Vishwak Sen with this film. We can expect more promising subjects from him with this film. But it must be said that his performance in this movie is also neat. In the role of Aghora, he did full justice to his role as someone who can't stand being touched by anyone.
Also, actress Chandini Chaudhary is also to be commended for not only appearing in a decent supporting role to Vishwak and fitting her role perfectly but also doing some difficult scenes. Also, it must be said that actress Abhinaya once again shined in her role. Some emotional scenes on her are good.
Along with them, the child actors and other main cast did full justice to their roles. And the most exciting aspect of the movie is the visuals and the background music is the highlight. That grand background score elevated many scenes in the movie. Also some scenes or sections in the climax can please the audience.
Minus Points:
The main theme of this movie is decent but the movie doesn't feel exciting at all. Also, many people may have got excited after seeing the visuals in the trailer, but these are there, but it is better to have low expectations. Also, logic seems to be missing in many scenes. Also the interval block needs to be designed better.
In addition to these, it would have been better if the high moments had been more concentrated. Also, in some places in the second half, the narration seems to be in the range that we can already imagine. Even from the first half, the story moves a little slowly. So this should also be kept in mind. Also, if some more scenes are presented in detail, the audience will feel a little confused.
Technical Department:
We should definitely talk about the production values in this movie. It can be said that the output of this honest attempt at crowdfunding in a very low budget is unexpected. Credit goes to the entire technical team in this regard. The songs given by Naresh Kumaran in the technical team, but the background score, are a plus for the movie. Also the grand visuals given by Vishwanath Reddy are good. No more editing. Dialogues are good.
And when it comes to the director Vidyadhar Kahiya.. it is delightful that he has taken a good point and presented it with this range of visuals in such a low budget. Also the way he designed Vishvak's character and presented it was very good. Also, he is able to make the audience sit even without any commercial elements. But he seems to be logically compromised in some aspects. In some places, the story is slow. Apart from these, his work is pleasing to this film.
Verdict:
Overall, this “Gami” is definitely a good unique and daring attempt in Vishwak Sen's career. Other main cast including himself will also impress in the movie. Along with these, the technical values in the film, the main point of the story runs interestingly at some places. But aside from the somewhat slow narration and some logics, the director's effort to tell will provide a decent treat in the theaters this week.
