NEW DELHI: Mumbai batter Musheer Khan etched his name in the annals of cricket history by breaking Sachin Tendulkar‘s record in the ongoing Ranji Trophy final. Musheer, the brother of the promising Indian cricketer Sarfaraz Khanexhibited his talent and potential during the final against Vidarbha.
The 19-year-old left-handed batsman showcased his prowess with a remarkable innings of 136 off 326 deliveries, adorned with 10 boundaries.Musheer’s stellar performance played a pivotal role in propelling Mumbai to a commanding lead of over 500 runs in the final.
Musheer became the youngest Mumbai batsman to register a century in a Ranji Trophy final, eclipsing the record previously held by the legendary Sachin Tendulkar. Tendulkar himself was present at the stands to witness Musheer’s magnificent century, scored in 255 balls.
Praising his brother’s remarkable achievement, Sarfaraz Khan took to Instagram to express his admiration for Musheer’s performance.

In that crucial semi-final encounter against Tamil Nadu, Musheer contributed a vital 55, setting the stage for Mumbai’s victory with his resilient batting.
Musheer’s remarkable journey in the Ranji Trophy includes a phenomenal double century against Baroda in the quarterfinal, where he smashed an impressive 203 in the first innings.
