A 15 year wish of ardent and highly encouraging fans has come to an end with RCB franchise finally winning a trophy. Well, the men’s team is yet to deliver on this front but the women’s team has achieved this feat.
RCB women’s team has defeated Delhi in the final match of the tournament and got their hands on the coveted WPL trophy. RCB beat Delhi by a comprehensive 8-wicket margin and got their hands on the trophy.
RCB women now stand as the champions of the Women’s Premiere League. This comes as some sort of a positive reinforcement to the franchise and its hardcore fans.
With this, RCB can finally say “Ee Saala cup Namdu”(the cup is ours this year) a notion they’ve been carrying for over a decade now.
The main task at hand for the men’s side will be to achieve the real deal – winning the IPL trophy in the main tournament that is starting on the 22nd of this month. Can RCB make it a double blockbuster year by winning the IPL after having won the WPL?
