Shocking Indian Victim of Carjacking In Jersey

We have recently written an editorial on how the carjacking trend in the U.S. is hurting the Indian community and how safety protocols should be followed.

Now, another unfortunate event has taken place in Edison, New Jersey. Unconfirmed reports on WhatsApp suggest that the victim is the son of the Patel Brothers owner, but it is yet to be officially confirmed.

According to the viral video, multiple people tried to attack the person in the expensive car, as captured in the CCTV footage. However, according to unconfirmed reports, he wasn’t injured and immediately called the cops.

Below is the message spreading viral in U.S. WhatsApp groups:

“Today (15 March) afternoon, one of our community members witnessed an attempted carjacking in the Patel Brothers parking lot in Edison. Three African American gentlemen in ski masks pulled out the driver (the son of the Patel Brothers store owner) from an expensive car (a Bentley). The perpetrators apparently tried to punch him. Luckily, he had just turned off the car. He ran inside the store and called the cops.”
