Another National Survey Says AP Going TDP+ Way

National Survey

The Election Commission of India has announced that May 13 will be the polling day for both the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. This event is being called the ‘mother of all elections’ as it’s expected to be significant.

The latest India TV-CNX Opinion Poll predicts that the TDP-led alliance could make significant gains in Andhra Pradesh. The survey predicts that the TDP-Janasena-BJP alliance is going to win 17 seats in the upcoming general election if they are held now.

According to the opinion poll, the TDP is expected to win 14 out of the 17 seats it is contesting, Janasena one out of two, and BJP two out of six seats. The YSRCP is predicted to win 8 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats.

The BJP will contest six parliamentary seats, while the TDP and JSP will contest 17 and two seats respectively. In the assembly elections, the BJP will contest 10 seats, the TDP 144 seats, and the JSP 21 seats.

The upcoming elections will mainly be between the ruling YSR Congress Party led by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and the TDP-BJP-JSP alliance led by N. Chandrababu Naidu.

The Congress, which had weakened after the state’s division, hopes to regain strength. Y.S. Sharmila, sister of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, becoming the PCC chief, has boosted the party’s morale.

Sharmila is working hard to improve the party’s image and criticize the YSRCP government’s shortcomings and policies.

The India TV-CNX Opinion Poll also predicts that in Telangana Congress is expected to sweep 9 out of 17 Lok Sabha seats, while BJP, BRS, and MIM are predicted to win 5, 2, and 1 seats respectively.
