Actor Trigun recently came before the audience with a movie with an interesting title called Line Man. Let's see how this movie fares in the full review.
Story:
The story of the movie revolves around a strange decision taken by Nattu (Trigun), a lineman from Satthupalli village in Khammam district of Telangana state. Devdamma (Jayashri) was a midwife in Satthupalli. She helps many generations of women give birth to their children. And on the special occasion of Devdamma completing 100 years, the entire village plans a grand birthday party for her. But at the same time Nuttu suddenly switches off the electricity grid to save four lives and informs everyone that the power supply will stop for a few more days. Why Nattu took such a decision should be seen in the movie.
Plus Points:
Trigun who is a good actor has once again performed brilliantly in the role of Nattu in this movie. Especially with his dialogue delivery and body language, he was more impressive in many scenes in the second half. Senior actress Jayashree also gave an impressive performance in the role of a midwife.
Minus Points:
Especially as the main theme of this movie is that we don't care about the lives of other beings, but at the same time Nittu turns off the electricity for years to save them and causes trouble for the villagers. And in order to save those four creatures, the movie did not properly show that due to his cutting the current, many people including children and old people of the village will face many problems. The solution shown by the line man is practical but not a workout. At the end of the movie, paper clips of many such incidents are shown. But, this is not attributable to the majority of the population. The movie also shows the effect of extreme addiction to mobile phones on human relationships. But not only mobile phones, there are many other things that depend on electricity without which it is impossible to live. Let's not forget that nothing can move forward without electricity, especially in today's age. Mobile phones are not just for entertainment, they have become a part of our lives in many ways. It would have been sensible if the movie had said that social media addiction is on the rise. Because of these elements, the message seems to be given. But its execution is largely unimpressive and the film does not fare well in terms of technical values. The first half is not very impressive. Comedy is so annoying. The songs come for no reason at all and flow quite normally in many scenes. The scenes were very slow and tested our patience level. Separate comedy tracks and subplots are not a plus but annoy us.
Technical category:
There is not much to say about the film in terms of technical aspects. Music, editing, cinematography and production values are also not impressive. The idea and presentation of the movie are not convincing at all. Except for Trigun and two other characters, the other actors do not lip sync. Dialogues are poorly written.
Verdict:
Overall Lineman's movie revolves around a strange idea that is not practically possible and the story is very boring. Most of the scenes in this film are different from the concept of dealing. Trigun and senior actress Jayashree's performance is the only thing to boast about in this village drama. Hence, better to choose other movies this weekend.
