Former Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrasekhara Rao continues to be away from media even after the electoral defeat. His daughter, MLC Kavitha got arrested by the ED in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam last week but KCR is yet to respond on it.
He did not even come to Kavitha’s house when the ED sleuths were there to arrest her. Only KTR and Harish Rao are seen there.
Finally, there was a response from KCR on the arrest. But it was a Text input sent by the party to the media.
“Kejriwal’s arrest is yet another dark day in the country’s Democracy. BJP is working with the sole aim of making the country free of the Opposition. The arrests of Hemant Soren and Kavitha are proof of this,” KCR said.
It is good KCR finally responded to Kavitha’s arrest.
Without going into the merits of the case, the statement of KCR that the BJP working with the sole aim of wiping out the Opposition drew instant flak from all quarters.
“It was KCR who set this bad precedent of wiping out the Opposition. We have seen how he bought the MLAs of TDP and Congress and merged the Legislative Parties of the two parties. He did that in 2014 as well as in 2018. If Modi is also wiping out the Opposition, it is just that in a different way but the actual motive is the same as KCR’s,” people are commenting.
