Halting film shooting for 3 full days doesn’t usually happen in Tollywood, given the logistics and stakes involved. But we could see this happening this July, as stated by Movie Artists Association President Manchu Vishnu.
Vishnu announced that there is a plan to hold Telugu Cinema’s 90th anniversary celebrations in Malaysia this July.
The Manchu hero said that elaborate celebratory events are being planned to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Tollywood and discussions are going on with Tollywood bigwigs and seniors.
He stated that the MAA requested the film fraternity to stop shootings for 3 days in July. If this is approved, then Tollywood could halt shootings for the mentioned period and indulge in celebratory events, as mentioned above.
But the final call is yet to be taken as halting shoots for 3 days straight is a significant logistical challenge considering that most Telugu mainstream films run with tight timelines.
However, Vishnu, powered by MAA seems to be determined to hold the 90th anniversary events grandly so we should see how things pan out.
