Hrithik Roshan recently began filming for “War 2,” a highly anticipated movie in the YRF Spy Universe series directed by Ayan Mukerji. Joining Hrithik in April 2024 is NTR, and together they plan to dedicate around 100 days to shooting this action-packed thriller.
According to the latest news, Aditya Chopra and Ayan Mukerji have chosen Pritam to compose the music for “War 2.”
Music director Pritam stands as one of Bollywood’s most accomplished music directors. Even in flop films like “Dilwale,” “Kalank,” and “Jab Harry Met Sejal,” his music remains memorable. While his work in the last SPY Universe film Tiger 3 was pretty mediocre, Pritam is back with a vengeance for “War 2.”
Pritam's track record with Ayan Mukerji is impeccable as they have delivered blockbuster albums like Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Brahmastra.
Having previously delivered blockbuster music for Hrithik Roshan’s “Dhoom 2” in 2006, Pritam reunites with Hrithik after 18 long years.
With NTR joining the cast, the stakes are higher, especially as both exceptionally gifted dancers are expected to showcase their dance prowess, promising a spectacular showdown between them on screen. The expectations for the music are sky-high from WAR 2.
For Pritam, this project demands his finest work yet, as his music will be expected to do justice to the talents of Hrithik and NTR. But there’s no denying that Pritam is very capable of rising up the occasion.
Scheduled for release on August 14, 2025, “War 2” brings together superstars from both North and South India. It’s the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe series, with more exciting projects like Pathaan 2 to follow.
