Jana Sena’s General Secretary Naga Babu initially planned to contest in the upcoming general elections in Andhra Pradesh but his seat went to BJP as a part of its alliance with the Telugu Desam Party and Jana Sena.
Now, Naga Babu’s name is popping up again in the media saying that he is in consideration for the Machilipatnam Lok Sabha constituency’s ticket.
The incumbent MP of Machilipatnam, Balashowry, joined Jana Sena a couple of months ago. It was certain that he would secure an MP ticket once again.
However, we hear that Balashowry may contest from the Avanigadda assembly constituency and Naga Babu will be in contention from Machilipatnam. An announcement of these two tickets will clarify the ongoing speculations.
Jana Sena is expected to announce the candidates for these constituencies very soon.
