‘Dubbing’ writer Sree Ramakrishna is no more

Sree Ramakrishna, the dialogue writer for many dubbed movies including “Aparachitudu” and “Bombay,” is no more. On April 1st, 2024, Sree Ramakrishna passed away at Apollo Hospital in Chennai due to illness.

Sree Ramakrishna was born in Tenali and moved to Chennai fifty years ago. He was 74 and was survived by his wife Swati and son Gautam.

He wrote dialogues for a number of Mani Ratnam and Shankar films in Telugu. He also wrote the Telugu dialogues for some of Rajinikanth’s most successful films. In total, he wrote dialogues for over 300 dubbed films, including “Gentleman,” “Oke Okkadu,” and “Chandramukhi.” He also directed two films.

“Darbar” was Rajinikanth’s final film as a dialogue writer.
