The highly popular Skoda Superb sedan has finally made its comeback in India. Launched at a price tag of Rs 54 lakh (ex-showroom), the premium sedan is available in a single, fully loaded L&K variant with a single powertrain option. Interested buyers can book the new Superb online or at authorised Skoda dealerships. Deliveries will commence towards the end of this month.
The Skoda Superb is powered by a tried & tested Volkswagen Group’s 2.0-litre 4-cylinder, TSI petrol engine that powers a wide range of VW and Skoda cars. This engine produces 187bhp of power and 320 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
The new Superb comes with the signature Skoda styling, featuring the Skoda radiator grille with chrome surrounds, and a stylish front bumper that accommodates wider air-dams. The sedan comes with an LED lighting system (LED headlamps, LED fog lamps with cornering function, LED tail-lights with crystal elements) and rear fog lights. The sedan rides on newly designed 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
The new Skoda Superb comes with a feature-loaded and premium interior. It is fitted with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with smartphone connectivity, and a virtual cockpit. In terms of features, the sedan gets powered and ventilated front seats, driver seat with massage function, 3-zone climate control, 12-speaker Canton audio system, roll-up sun visors and leather-wrapped gear knob.
For safety and security, the new Superb L&K gets 9 airbags, 360 degree surround view camera, park assist, hill brake assist, hill hold control, active TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), electronic parking brake with auto hold, etc.
