Tollywood crazy combination rowdy hero Vijay Devarakonda and Mrinal Thakur as hero and heroine is the awaited movie directed by director Parashuram Petla “The Family Star”. And let’s see in the review whether this film that came to entertain the family audience as a gift this summer has met the expectations.
Story:
Coming to the story, Govardhan (Vijay Devarakonda), a young man from an ordinary middle-class family with a small job as an architect engineer, manages his family car with savings and bears the weight of responsibilities. And when a girl Indu (Mrinal Thakur) comes into his life to rent his house, how will his life turn? Why did she actually come into his life and what are the challenges faced in this background? Will they meet or not? Who is this? What this family star will do in the end has to be seen on the silver screen.
Plus Points:
First of all, talking about the actors, the hero Vijay Deverakonda will be seen as a perfect family man in this movie. Some scenes of his timing with his family can touch middle class families. Also, Vijay has cultivated variations in his role. Also fans may like some mass moments on him.
It can be said that the heroine Mrinal Thakur is pleasing with a decent performance in her role. The chemistry between the two is good in some scenes. Also her decent looks natural performance is good. Along with them, Jagapathi Babu, Vennela Kishore and senior actress Rohini Hattangadi and others have done justice to their roles.
Minus Points:
It has to be said that there are more hurtful aspects than pleasing aspects in this film. Despite the simple concept, the compelling story in the film lacks a flow. The scenes that look like we have already seen this kind of scenes will test the audience’s patience even in the first half of the long story. It takes a long time to get into the main point of the actual movie.
It doesn’t look like Pony is interested in the story at all. There is no proper entertainment and there are no emotional emotions. This error is visible from the beginning to the end of the film. In addition to this, Mrinal’s character meeting Vijay does not match in their scenes. Also some scenes on Vijay feel excessive.
And actors like Vasuki and Abhinaya do not see much importance. Also, those who expect a solid entertainer like Geetha Govindam from Vijay and Parasuram may be disappointed. Also, except for a few scenes, the whole movie is boring.
Technical category:
The production values are good in this film. Dil Raju has given it in the movie as per the requirement. And in the technical team, Gopi Sundar’s music is very average. Kay U Mohanan’s cinematography is good. Also, many boring and routine scenes should be reduced in Marthand K Venkatesh’s editing.
And when it comes to director Parasuram Petla.. this film is a week work in his career. Vijay’s character was planned to be one such person in every middle class family but was disappointed to discover this. The entertaining and emotional narration from him as the main character seems to be greatly missed in this film. Except for very few scenes, Ao directed the movie as a bore.
Verdict:
Overall, the main lead in “The Family Star” does not seem to matter. Also, some scenes are just okay but this is not a range movie that gets expectations from the hit combination of Vijay and Parasuram Petla. Emotions are not worked out, the narrative is disappointing. The director still needs to work on the story and stories. But with these, this family star has stopped as a below average flick.
