The much anticipated clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings came to an end with the home side comfortably thrashing the Chennai based side.
After being put in to bat first, CSK scored 165 on a slightly sluggish surface. In response, SRH made a super bright start to the chase with a blistering knock from Abhishek Sharma. The momentum continued through the course of the powerplay which pretty much sealed the game for Hyderabad.
Chennai couldn’t match SRH’s grit in bowling or in batting and in the end, SRH, being the better of the two teams sealed the game with Nitish Reddy hitting a magnificent six off the delivery of the 19th over.
There was a massive yellow wave in the stadium with stellar support for CSK but this accounted for nothing as SRH was clinical with a rounded performance. The yellow wave was thrashed aside by the high flying SRH side.
Notable personalities like CM Revanth Reddy, Daggubati Venkatesh and Bramhanandam were seen at the stadium and they were treated to a refined cricketing display by Hyderabad.
