YS Vivekananda Reddy’s daughter Suneetha Reddy expressed her concern that justice will not be served when murderers are in power. She criticized society for its failure to hold the culprits accountable, who continue to roam freely.
Suneetha said that she is unable to attain justice despite her education, wealth, and knowledge. Speaking at a press meet in Hyderabad, Suneetha said that her fight is not for politics but for justice.
“Before 2009, either YSR or Viveka contested for the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat. When YSR died, Jagan was the Kadapa MP. When discussions happened regarding the successor for YSR’s Pulivendula constituency, the name of YS Bhaskar Reddy came up. However, Viveka did not favour Bhaskar Reddy,” said Suneetha.
She reminded me that Viveka proposed to nominate either Vijayamma or Sharmila for the ticket. “Jagan was unhappy when Congress appointed Viveka as a minister. Yet, when Jagan and Vijayamma left Congress, Viveka felt he should be with them and joined the YSR Congress Party,” she added
Suneetha asserted YS Sharmila’s key role in leading the YCP during Jagan’s jail term. She noted Sharmila’s pivotal contributions to the victories of various MPs and MLAs in by-elections.
Everyone thought that Sharmila would get the Kadapa MP ticket in 2014. But when Jagan realised that Sharmila was getting the limelight, he sidelined her,” stated Suneetha.
She said that Viveka opposed when Jagan decided to offer the Kadapa ticket to Avinash Reddy. She alleged that Viveka lost the MLC elections due to the backstabbing by Avinash’s family.
Suneetha said that she initially didn’t believe that her family members were behind her father’s murder. “I made a mistake by believing them,” she said.
