In an unfortunate accident, a 27-year-old individual was killed and his friend was severely inured while taking a selfie on the Deugram Cheruvu Cable Bridge in Hyderabad.
Getting into details, the deceased, S. Anil Kumar, is a driver. He used to reside at Chandranayak Thanda in Madhapur with his wife Vijaya. His friend Komarapu Ajay (25) works at a Kirana Shop in Sai Baba Nagar.
On Friday midnight, both Anil and Ajay visited the Durgamcheruvu Cable Bridge. They stopped their bike and were taking selfies. At the same time, a cart which was coming from the Inorbit Mall’s side, had hit them.
The car pushed Anil for a considerable distance, and the driver made no attempt to stop it. Following the accident, the driver escaped. Anil sustained fatal injuries, while Ajay suffered injuries to his face and legs. On early Saturday morning, doctors decalred Anil dead.
The police found car’s number plate at the accident spot and identified that the vehicle belongs to a person named Venkat Reddy, who resides at Ibrahimnagar in Banjara Hills.
The cops reported that Venkat Reddy claimed he was not driving the car, and an investigation is currently in progress to arrest the driver.
