He further elaborated, “Ravi Shastri’s voice behind it and all the things that happened before the Andrew Flintoff fight, it wasn’t a fight, it was just a casual conversation, but that led to whatever it led.”
Yuvraj Singh, revered as one of the finest hitters of his era, possessed the remarkable ability to find the fence even against the most formidable bowlers worldwide. Karthik lauded Yuvraj’s artistry with the bat, stating, “I mean, he was batting, he’s a dream boss. When he bats well, there are not many other better-looking players who can be six-hitters.”
In agreement, Ashwin added, “You (Ashwin) realize maybe, as an off-spinner, you probably had the better of him at times but when he gets going, he can be a really hard batter to bowl.”
Describing Yuvraj’s batting style, Ashwin used the word “princely,” while Karthik opted for “regal,” emphasizing the elegance and mastery with which Yuvraj approached his innings.
