Samsung has launched two new Galaxy M-series smartphones in India today. These are the Galaxy M15 and Galaxy M55. The M15 starts at Rs 12,999 and the M55 at Rs 26,999. Being M-series models, the pack big batteries with the more affordable M15 getting a massive 6,000mAh capacity. Both phones are the latest to come with a 5-year update promise from Samsung, like some of its more premium offerings like the Galaxy A55. Right out of the gate, they run Android 14. The Galaxy M15 and Galaxy M55 are 5G phones eligible to get up to four years of major OS and five years of security updates, Samsung has confirmed.

The M55 has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The panel can peak 1,000 nits, Samsung says, though HDR support isn’t specified. A hole punch cut-out lies at the centre of the display.
Powering the M55 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. You’ll be able to get it with 8GB and 12GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB of storage. Storage expansion is available by up to 1TB. Running the show is One UI 6.1 based on Android 14.
For photography, the M55 has a trio of sensors on the back with a 50-megapixel wide, 8-megapixel ultrawide, and 2-megapixel macro. The front camera is a 50-megapixel.
The M15 meanwhile has a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and waterdrop-style notch.
Powering the M15 is a MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus processor and a 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. You’ll be able to get it with 4GB and 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Storage expansion is available by up to 1TB. Running the show is One UI 6.0 based on Android 14.
