In March 2024, the Indian automobile industry witnessed a nearly 10 percent sales growth compared to the corresponding month last year. A total of 3.7 lakh passenger vehicles were sold last month, which declined by 0.8 percent against February 2024. Several OEMs achieved their all-time high financial year sales, including Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Tata, Hyundai, and Honda. Of particular interest was the sales surge of the Tata Punch micro SUV and Hyundai Creta. While the Punch became India’s top-selling car in March 2024 with total sales of 17,547 units, the Creta stood at the second position with sales of 16,458 units.
The Tata Punch is equipped with a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine generating 86bhp and 113Nm of torque. It is available with either a manual or an automatic gearbox. Currently, the company is offering discounts and benefits on the Punch and Punch.ev models to clear the MY2023 stock.
