An Indian origin girl in the United States of America is facing criminal charges after threatening the city council to murder them. It is believed that the girl is pro-Palestine and participated in many protests. However her extreme form of protest has landed her in trouble and now her freedom is in the hands of the court.
The Israel-Palestine conflict has not only divided countries but also their citizens. While many Americans show their open support for Israel, some of them have gone to extremes rallying for Palestine.
The USA has been vocal against the Hamas attack and hasn’t condemned what Israel has done in Gaza. The pro-Palestinians have criticized the authorities for it and in some cases gone extreme.
The Indian origin girl threatened to kill the city council and therefore has been charged. She is facing possible jail time for the charges. She also needs to pay a $1 million bail amount. The girl started crying during the hearing and felt helpless.
Surprisingly no pro-Palestine support group has come forward for her. The authorities are using this as an example to show the consequences of taking a stance opposite to the state.
