24-Year-Old Indian Student Chirag Antil Shot Dead In Vancouver

Chirag Antil, a 24-year-old student from Haryana, tragically lost his life when he was fatally shot inside a car in South Vancouver, Canada, around 11 p.m. on a Friday.

His body was discovered at the intersection of East 55th Avenue and Main Street in Vancouver.

Chirag Antil, originally from Sonipat, Haryana, was the youngest son of Mahavir Antil, who worked in the Sugar Mill Department of the Haryana Government.

In 2022, Chirag relocated to Vancouver to pursue higher education at the University of Canada West (UCW) in British Columbia. After completing his studies, he began working in Canada under a work permit.

As of the latest report, the Vancouver Police Department has not made any arrests in connection with the incident, and an investigation is ongoing.

Chirag’s untimely demise has left his family and friends shattered. In response to this heartbreaking loss, Antil’s family members have initiated a fundraiser for repatriating his body to India.

Amidst their grief, Chirag’s family and representatives from the National Students’ Union of India have sought intervention from the Indian government to ensure justice for Chirag and provide support to his family during this challenging period.
