The other day, a stone was hurled at YS Jagan Mohan Reddy which left a small bruise on his forehead. YSR Congress immediately pressed its machinery to derive sympathy in the elections.
Forget about sympathy, after what happened with Kodi Kathi and Viveka’s murder, no one is ready to believe this and so, there are memes and trolls everywhere mocking the stone attack as an election stunt.
This incident is also likely to yield an unintended result for the YSR Congress.
There is a demand that the DGP and Intelligence Chief should be removed for a free and fair election. TDP is alleging that both of them are favoring the YSR Congress. TDP hoped that alliance with the BJP would ensure their change but nothing happened.
Now, the attack on Jagan Mohan Reddy is a clear security failure. It is shocking that an attack has happened on the Chief Minister who will have several layers of security and intelligence around him.
There is pressure on the Election Commission to take action on the DGP and Intelligence Chief.
If that happens, the attack has clearly backfired on YSR Congress.
Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy immediately came before the media and found fault saying it is a Security failure.
“When the Kodi Kathi attack took place, why did not TDP blame security failure then? Even with all the security measures, the attackers will always have an advantage,” Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy.
It looks like Sajjala is trying to give a clean chit to the DGP and Intelligence Chief because they do not want their favorable officials changed.
