School is supposed to be a safe place, but with the increasing amount of fights between students and the wave of bullying inside the school campus, is making the lives of the children miserable.
On February 23, at Lynnwood High School a fight broke out in one of the girls washrooms, resulting in a girl being knocked unconscious.
The pathetic part is no one who witnessed the fight came in front to save the girl and stop the fight, rather everyone was quite busy recording the whole situation on their cell phones.
The principal of the school came out and said fights like this are common in high schools. But, when other students watch the whole situation and still decide not to intervene this thing is not acceptable.
On February 27 the council had a meeting with a student advisor Kevin Seng, where he also addressed the fact that people left their humanity as they watched the whole fight and didn’t take any step in order to help her. People ignored the unconscious girl and moved past her.
The school authority said, “As soon as staff members learned what was happening, they quickly rushed to break up the fight and called 911, as one student was injured. Paramedics arrived and provided care to the injured student.”
