There is a huge decline in the non-theatrical deals of films featuring stars. The digital players are selective and they are not ready to buy every film for huge prices. Our stars have hiked their remunerations considering their markets post-Covid. Things have changed completely now. Energetic Star Ram is pocketing Rs 25 crores remuneration for iSmart Shankar directed by Puri Jagannadh. The film landed into a financial mess as there are no financiers funding the film to complete the pending shoot. Ram is now demanding Rs 30 crores for his upcoming films.
None of the top producers are ready to work with Ram considering his remuneration. Ram is not in a mood to step down considering the crisis. Ram’s Hindi market was huge but the Hindi deals have seen a huge decline. Ram is not much bothered and he is strict on his paycheque. Every star or actor is busy with several projects but Ram hasn’t finalized any project. None of the top or successful directors are in the race to direct Ram. The young actor should consider the crisis and slash down his remuneration soon.
